Posted by gizmo

Would love to see the full res / slowed down video!

Great use of the extremely limited surfacing tools of SolidWorks, but NOT ONCE was any CURAVTURE ANALYSIS done!!

The main challenge with SolidWorks is getting those dam surfaces to be nice and continuous and smooth!!

Would be nice to see more done to explain tool choice and curve positions with respect to surface continuation goals.

All you SolidWorks designers out there need to shout at SolidWorks to get us some decent analysis tools and some more robust surfacing tools!!!

GREAT DEMO

I am like everyone else, please post a real time video :)

Posted by fischfry

Its not very often I have seen a car in SolidWorks. In fact I have only seen two a Enzo and some kind of BMW modeled in SW. They only look great from the outside. The modeler has not used curvature or tangent to face as boundary conditions. So many sharp edges. The Audi looks impressive but I cant judge whether or not it has sharp edges. Your approach to modeling this car seems very similar to the way it would be done in rhino.
